The Hardest Part

Here we go. My first blog post.

I have thought about creating a business for myself for many years, never able to pin down what exactly I'd like to do. I'm happy to finally be starting something for myself while having a creative outlet. I thank you for joining me on this journey.

Last year in 2020 during the Covid-19 Pandemic lockdown, I began to really focus on my cooking and baking skills. I tried homemade recipes for things I never dreamed of making and I loved every minute of it. When a friend asked me to create some cookies for her daughter's robot themed birthday party, I decided to take a crack at it and see how my royal icing skills were. see the robots on the custom page :) As it turns out, I had a blast making the robot cookies and truly enjoyed making someone happy with my baking (besides my cookie-loving husband, of course).

While navigating a move from Fort Lauderdale, Florida to Dayton, Ohio I had a lot of time for self reflection and reevaluating what it is that I want to do in life. During that time I decided that I want to learn the ropes of running a business and start selling my cookies! I still don't really know what I am doing, but I am doing it. I have already had my first official customer and it was a great success!

People say the hardest part of doing something is starting, and boy are they right! But here I am starting this cookie business and figuring it out one day at a time. If there's something you've been wanting to start, I'm here to say you can do it! Decide what you want to do and just run with it. That's what I did and what I am currently doing. Stay tuned to see how it unfolds!
